The Ministry of Health and Welfare announced legislation for some amendments to the enforcement regulations on 26th, June.

According to the announcement, they have decided to postpone the mandatory for the National Insurance which was supposed to be changed from this July since most international students

studying in Korea have joined a private insurance and the Ministry needs more time to carry out

the procedures for the change of their system.

Therefore, the Ministry decided not to change the regulations of the National Insurance at

the moment for international students if there is no other opinion by the 1st week of July.

The Yeungnam University will keep the Dongbu Insurance in the same way as the present, therefore, you do not need to consider the National Insurance.
